John is a highly capable strategic and tactical lean leader with proven experience of driving profitability through change and innovation. For over 25 years, John’s area of expertise has been in the lean manufacturing arena working across sectors such as high volume, automotive, food & drink and construction. His core skills include, Lean business practices, lean processes with the ability to embed identified skills and knowledge, strategic operational management and driving up profitability through change, continuous improvement and innovation. John’s approach is a holistic one. He has in-depth knowledge of Lean business, tools and skills to support companies achieve their quality, cost and delivery targets set by both themselves and their clients, developing a Lean, ‘can-do’ culture that delivers improved bottom line performance that meet stakeholder targets.
John held a number of technical roles before moving into general management. After holding the role of Managing Director within a first tier global automotive supplier, he established his own consultancy business, focusing on strategy and operational improvement. Having built up the business, it was bought out and John supported this venture, before starting up his own consultancy business once again; focussing on manufacturing excellence, lean development and strategic business support.
