The Challenge:

Despite AESSEAL’s strong market position and industry-leading reputation, the business recognised the need to continuously improve operational efficiency and drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout its teams.

With rapid growth and increasing customer demands, AESSEAL wanted to develop the skills of emerging team leaders to embed lean thinking and sustain high-performance practices across its UK operations early in their workplace development.

The Need for Training:

AESSEAL identified the need for a structured development programme to equip managers and supervisors with practical lean leadership skills, providing them with the tools to drive change, engage employees and improve processes sustainably. This was critical to support their ambitious growth targets, maintain their competitive advantage, and foster a culture of innovation and improvement across the organisation.

The Solution:

AESSEAL partnered with BrookConsult and Click2 Learn to deliver a bespoke Lean Leader Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 training programme.

The collaboration focused on providing participants with a blend of accredited management skills and hands-on lean tools that could be directly applied to AESSEAL’s operational environment.

The training covered key modules such as:

  • Lean principles and tools
  • Waste identification and elimination
  • Process mapping and problem-solving techniques
  • Team engagement and empowerment
  • Leadership behaviours for continuous improvement

Delivered through a series of face-to-face workshops, the programme enabled managers to work on real business challenges, applying their learning in live projects. 

The learners also benefitted from Click2 Learn’s Learner Management System (LMS) which offered a user-friendly, cloud-based platform so learners could access training materials, real-time progress tracking and interactive learning experiences, supporting them throughout the entire development journey.

Process Efficiency: Participants developed the capability to identify waste and streamline processes; the intent is to lead to improved productivity.
